I joined the Nogales Police Department in 1999.
After attending a 17 week academy at SALETC, (Southern Arizona Law
Enforcement Training Center), I returned to the Patrol Division of the
Nogales Police Department.
For the next five years, I patrolled the streets of Nogales, Arizona.
In the summer of 2005, I was assigned to the DARE / GREAT Unit of the
Nogales Police Department. I
attended the Douglas Wyoming Police Department DARE Instructor School and
the Casper TX. Police Department GREAT Instructor School.
I have attended the Orlando, FL., GREAT Officer Conference and the San
Antonio, TX., DARE Officer Conference in order to
maintain better schooling techniques and instruction of our students.
Currently I teach at both the Elementary and Middle School Levels.
I look forward to providing my community and our children the
knowledge I have gained pertaining to these two programs.

Officer Gabriela Moreno joined the Nogales Police Department in November 1999. After attending a 17 Week academy SALETC (Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Training Center), Officer Moreno returned to the Patrol Division of the Nogales Police Department.
For the next eight years, Officer Moreno patrolled the streets of Nogales, Arizona. Officer Moreno was involved in numerous investigations that provided her the knowledge and understanding of police work.
Officer Moreno is currently receiving the training to be a part of the D.A.R.E. and G.R.E.A.T. program in Las Vegas, Nevada D.A.R.E. Instructor School. She is currently registered to attend a G.R.E.A.T. Instructor Certification to be announced at a later date.
Officer Moreno brings a great deal of enthusiasm and experience to the program and will be an excellent asset to the community and the program.
