Explorer Post 511


Nogales Police Explorer Post 511 has been serving the City
of Nogales since 1985. The program offers young men and women a chance
to challenge themselves mentally and physically while working with active
members of the Nogales Police Department.
Becoming a Nogales Police Explorer meet every Thursday at
the City of Nogales Hall located at 777 N. Grand Avenue.
Once a year the program offers a training course. There, Explorers
study Law Enforcement techniques and build physical fitness.
As an Explorer you will......
* Get a Nogales Police Explorer
Uniform
* Work with Police Officers, Detectives,
and Supervisors
* Learn how to march and be a part of an
Explorer Squad
* Learn about different units within the
Nogales Police Department such as Motors, K9 Unit, S.W.A.T.
Communications, and many more areas
* Practice police tactics such as: Building
searches, radio procedures, traffic stops, report writting,
crime scene
investigation, and more
Explorer Requirements....
* Be 14 - 21 years of age
* Maintain a "C" average or better in
school
* NO Felony convictions or serious
misdemeanor arrests or convictions
* Have a strong interest in learning about
Law Enforcement
If you're interested in becoming a Nogales Police Explorer, you must be
dedicated and attend at least 75 percent of All Explorer functions and
meetings.
