September 2008 Briefing:

This months information is on the rising violence in our sister-city Nogales, Sonora Mex. Although major tourist areas are well protected, you should take precautions when deciding to visit our sister-city. Late night celebrations are not recommended do o the current narco-trafficking violence the city is experiencing. Refrain from entering areas of concern where law enforcement is does not have any presence. Stay away from local "red-light districts" or gentlemen's clubs for now.

I remind the citizens of Nogales that the police department relies on it's citizenry for tips and reports of suspicious activity within your neighborhoods and the community. I encourage you to partnership with us in fighting crime and reporting suspicious persons or vehicles immediately. Together, we can make a difference.
